Following the incorporation of the fund, the inaugural closing event unfolds. This pivotal moment occurs subsequent to the enlistment of investors who express interest in the fund. Once all subscriptions have been received, the commencement of the closing process ensues.
In practical application, investor admission follows the successful completion of AML checks. Our platform boasts a Nexus module tailored for this purpose. Additionally, we offer a digital business management module, facilitating streamlined workflows for the closing process. This module seamlessly connects key stakeholders, including fund management, administrators, legal teams, and client service personnel. For the sake of this tutorial, however, we'll focus solely on the operational aspects of the closing process.
Investors initiate their subscriptions through the platform's user-friendly interface. Accessible via the "Nexus" dropdown menu, investors navigate to the "Subscription" option. Subscriptions may be completed either by investors themselves, who log in and input their subscription details, or by Fund administrators using received subscription documents.
Subscriptions are denominated in the currency of the subscribed unit. The investor's currency may align with the unit's or differ, potentially incurring FX adjustments for accurate transaction recording. Notably, investors can be entities under platform administration or entities with limited investor account features.
Subscribers or administrators can upload subscription agreements and link them with online application forms if utilizing the document management system module. The Nexus module also streamlines the online completion of subscription forms, eliminating the need for document uploads.
During subscription, investors specify the fund, unit, and amount they are subscribing to. The platform then calculates the subscribed unit quantity based on the fund's prospectus document rules. Subscriptions may also include back-dating to facilitate the migration of existing funds to the platform.
Completed subscriptions are logged in the "Investments" section, under the "Transactions Log". While pending subscriptions can be deleted, admitted subscriptions are immutable once accepted by the fund.
